Marlén Landin

Marlén Landin is a Cuban-American singer, songwriter and television/film producer who has contributed to the world of arts and entertainment for 30 plus years both on stage and behind the scenes.

Over the years, Marlen honed her craft as a performer, songwriter, vocalist and session singer.  Marlén’s artistry transcends musical genres from country to pop to the full spectrum of Latin music.  She fluidly performs in both Spanish and English and is as comfortable crooning a Country song with the likes of Keith Urban as she is belting out Salsa classics by fellow Cuban- American artists like Celiz Cruz.  Her soulful vocals can be heard on albums by such legendary Latin artists as Luis Miguel, Ednita Nazario, Luis Enrique and Martika (who was produced by Prince).

For the past two decades, Marlén has traveled the globe as a featured background vocalist for the incomparable Olivia Newton-John (ONJ).  Marlén co-wrote the title track on fellow ONJ band mate Steve Real’s debut record, “Never Too Late” as well as the magical duet featuring Real and Olivia Newton-John on the album’s single, “Fulfilled”.  After the horrific shooting in 2016 at Orlando’s Pulse nightclub that left 49 dead and over 50 injured, Marlen wanted to do something to help the nation and especially the Latino LGBT community heal from the aftermath of this senseless killing. Marlén released the stirring single “Pulso” a Spanish language version of Melissa Etheridge’s moving anthem “Pulse” which raised funds for the families of the victims.

In addition to her musical accomplishments, Marlén is a seasoned television and film production veteran.  She is the executive in charge of production for the NY Emmy nominated documentary film, PastPort: Cuba—The Search for Nicolita, a moving tribute to her native homeland– Cuba.
